Problem

Every time the batteries ( LiFePO) reached 100% charging through Victron MPPT the Starlink shut down.

Fix

  1. 1

I have been monitoring what happens when batteries got full and realised that there was a very short Voltage peak of about 15,5volts. Even though that the Yaosheng unit is designed for 12 to 24 V there was a obvious problem . The Yaosheng unit continued working but the Starlink Antenna stopped.

  2. 2

I decided to give it a try with installing a 12V/12V DC DC converter. Sure it needs to be strong enough to pass through up to 120W. Since the unit is fit no more trouble…. The convert keeps a +/- 2% voltage accuracy on the output side. And guess what….no more problem…. Starlink keeps running also when the batteries reach 100% charge.
